Here Comes the bride...

Well, it's that time of year again....Wedding Season!
Jeremy Grey: John? I need to see you right away. It's important.
John Beckwith: [Walking into Jeremy's office] What's going on?
Grey: [sighs] We got three big weeks ahead of us. It's wedding season, kid!
Beckwith: You sandbaggin' son of a bitch!
Grey: Okay, now how many of them have cash bars?
Beckwith: Great question. I like where your head's at and two of them actually are, but I got us covered: Purple hearts. We won't have to pay for a drink all night.
Grey: Oh, yeah. Perfect.
Beckwith: We are gonna have tons and tons of opportunities to meet gorgeous ladies that get so aroused at the thought of marriage that they'll throw their inhibitions to the wind.
Grey: And who will be there to catch them?
Beckwith: Grab that net and catch that beautiful butterfly, pal! What do you like better, Christmas or Wedding Season?
Grey: Mr. Grey?
Beckwith: Yes. The answer would be, um, Wedding Season?
[shimmy-shakes]
Grey: Bingo! I'm gonna get my suit. Now who are we this time?

Ha! Ha! Ha! Well it's not quite like that but, we have been super busy with brides. We both love working with brides, helping them achieve their wedding dreams.

Here are some of our latest.

What's Viniferine?

Viniferine is a patented ingredient in Caudalie Skincare. Viniferine comes from the grapevine stalk and was discovered in France by Dr. Vercauteren and his team. This ingredient reduces dark spots, prevents the appearance of dark spots, and evens out and brightens the complexion. Along with all these great benefits, Viniferine is also a very powerful anti-oxidant. Click on these pictures to see for yourself!

Click on theses photos to see how dark spots appear in the first place and what needs to happen in order to prevent it from happening.

Caudalie has just come out with a whole skincare system that has Viniferine. Together all three products knock out dark spots and keep them from returning. Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum is the key product, but check out the new complimentary moisturizers!

Makeup Gone Wild

Here Natalie and Tracy have staged a 'bad' makeover. This was for an ad to show women how
overwhelming doing makeup can be and therefore the importance of finally learning how to apply it the 'right' way. Well they never ran the ad but here are a few clips from the girls where Natalie is intentionally putting on seriously bad makeup for dramatic purposes....watch and laugh!

Here Natalie is still working on her 'bad' makeover. She has no idea that Tracy is filming her. Perhaps one day we could have worn this much makeup, if we were a supermodel working on a magazine ad, and even then it would have to be in very dramatic lighting....now we see why bad makeup is hilarious, especially when you're pretending it's glamorous!

Small view of the world of Tracy Ewell Cosmetics

Business as usual at Tracy Ewell where Natalie is in the makeup chair letting Tracy experiment with different products and different looks. You will see a sequence of events unfold all while the makeup is being done. To watch is anything but ordinary.

"Together we try new ideas and critique ourselves as we go. We believe, as artists, this challenge not only aides us in mastering our techniques but enhances our creative vision, " says Natalie. "To be in our presence and witness life's non-stop drama and be in a creative environment where we help women see their true beauty, is a real gift!"

In the Begining.....

Tracy Ewell (poker face)

Owners, Natalie Essaied and Tracy Ewell have been BFF (best friends forever) since the sixth grade! They grew up in a small town 24 miles north of New Orleans, called Mandeville.

Natalie Essaied (poker face)

Growing up in a small town was comfortable and safe yet boring and stale. These two were often challenging the authorities and finding new ways to change the rules!

The history of Tracy Ewell Cosmetics & Skincare is a full and interesting story. It starts with Tracy Ewell and her store which opened in Febuary 2001. After working in New Olreans as a makeup artist for four years, at the age of 28, Tracy Ewell started her signature boutique inside the women's apparel store called Mimi's. Tracy operated out of Mimi's until the summer of 2005. Finally after two years of searching for the perfect retail space, Tracy moved into her space on Nashville. With the help of her friends Tracy and Natalie worked long days. Natalie was working as a Social Worker in the local school system, spending her extra time helping Tracy open her new space.

After six weeks of renovating the new space, finally they were open. Three weeks later on the first day of a booked Event, Hurricane Katrina threatened the heart of New Orleans. Leaving no choice but to close up shop and evacuate for safety!..................to be continued.
